Establishment of US-Japan-ROK Inter-Parliamentary Dialogue
Establishes an inter-parliamentary dialogue
Requires the Secretary of State to negotiate with Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) to create a formal group for lawmakers of the three countries to meet and cooperate.
Creates a United States group
Forms a specific group of eight Members of Congress to represent the United States in the dialogue with Japan and the ROK.
Defines membership and appointments
Specifies that four members will be from the House and four from the Senate, appointed by both majority and minority party leaders. At least one appointee from each group must be from the foreign affairs committees.
